What is PremiumBuilder Extension Tool?


PremiumBuilder Extension Tool is a plugin for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro that provides users with a library of pre-made templates, presets, and elements to use in their video projects. The plugin is designed to help video creators and editors save time and increase productivity by offering a wide variety of assets that can be easily customized and added to their projects.



Premium Builder extension requires After Effects CC.2019 , Premiere Pro 2021 and above. 

Before Install the ZXP file, open AE Preferences/Scripting & Expressions/ and check Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network.

1. ZXPInstaller

  • – Go to https://aescripts.com/learn/zxp-installer/ or zxpinstaller.com
  • – Download installer of your operation system and install it.
  • – Run ZXPInstaller.
  • – Extract “Premium_Builder_Name.zxp” from ZIP archive.
  • – Drag the “Premium_Builder_Name.zxp” to installer window and wait to be installed.

2. Manual Installation

  • – Rename “Premium_Builder_Name.zxp” file extension fro ZXP to ZIP.
  • – Extract ZIP file.
  • – Move Premium_Builder_Premium_Overlays folder to your operating system:
  •       If you are a user of Windows, paste folder into Directory: Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions
  •       If you are a user of MacOS, paste folder into Directory: Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions




Solution for Mac Os:

1. Open the Terminal

2. Paste a line that matches the version of After Effects that is installed on your system:

For After Effects CC.2023:

defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.13 PlayerDebugMode 1

For After Effects CC.2022:

defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.12 PlayerDebugMode 1

For After Effects CC.2021:

defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.11 PlayerDebugMode 1

For After Effects CC.2020:

defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.10 PlayerDebugMode 1

For After Effects CC.2019:

defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.9 PlayerDebugMode 1

Solution for Windows:

1. Download this zip and open it.

2. Run the reg file corresponding to the version of After Effects that is installed on your system.

3. In the pop-up window, click “OK”
