Audi R8

Apostolis Alexiou the director of the Audi R8 project is challenging the car presentation by conceving a unique minimal element in his direction. The whole spot is rendered in high definition format, completely generated in 3D Animation, fully color graded while soft special effects appear to succesfully complete the project. The spot ends and the car keeps running in a minimal white enviroment unlikely to other car commercials where the car always stops at the end. Technology meets imagination to produce this commercial: “The new Audi R8 Born of powerful ideas”

Using CG technology to blend live action footage from green box, Playcreate team makes it seem as though the jeep travels throughout two different CG enviroments. Our team created CG (Computer Generated) car from the inside out and merged it into 3D environment, as artists matched live action footage with a digital creation of the scene. Applying the best of 2D and 3D, Playcreate design complete surroundings in which characters and/or vehicles thrive and interact.
